Race Information

The race starts on Saturday June 9, 2012 at 7:30 am, rain or shine, in beautiful Baxter, Minnesota.

Course Description: The location for our start - finish line is at the Forestview Middle School located at 12149 Knollwood Drive, Baxter, MN. The Marathon follows a level, gentle course that winds through the beautiful landscape within surrounding the city of Baxter. While there are many right and left turns, there are no dramatic downhills. The race course is open to traffic so skaters must stay to the right side of the road.

Half Marathon Map (and 8K Fun Skate)

Race Safety: Helmet and wrist guards are mandatory to participate in the event. Participants must be 13 years of age or older for the half or full marathon. 8K fun skate participants must be 10 years of age or older. Knee and elbow pads are HIGHLY recommended. Inline and Quad skates may be used, no roller skis, ski poles, baby strollers, baby joggers, automobiles, skateboards, bikes, bandits, pets or wagons. Headphone use is prohibited.

Timing: The Baxter Inline race will be chip timed by MTEC.

Divisions: Male and female. No cross drafting will be allowed.

Awards Information:

Inline Marathon
Over All... Top Three (3) Places Men and Women.
Age Classes... Top Three (3) Men and Women in each age class (see below).

Inline Half Marathon
Over All... Top Three (3) Places Men and Women.
Age Classes... Top Three (3) Men and Women in each age class (see below).

• 20 - 29
• 30-39
• 40-49
• 50-59
• 60-69
• 70 Plus
• 8K fun skate over all top 5 places, Men and Women

Packet Pick-up: Lake Region Christian School, located at 7398 Fairview Road North, Baxter, MN.  Friday, June 8, 2012 from 4:00 - 10:00 pm, or Saturday morning one hour prior to start at Forestview Middle School, located at 12149 Knollwood Drive, Baxter, MN.

Spaghetti Dinner: Pre-race Spaghetti Dinner at Lake Region Christian School on Fri. June 8, 2012 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm
Dinner includes spaghetti with meatballs and/or meatless sauce, tossed salad, garlic bread, fresh fruit, vegetable tray, dessert and beverage for only $6.00, Family $20 (NOT included in the registration fee). Prepared by Chef Wayne Erickson. Proceeds support the Youth Sports Booster Club. The best meal deal for all Skaters!
